How to download SMARTBoard Notebook software at home:
1. Log in to Blackboard.
2. Click on the Tech Resources Tab at the top of the page.
3. Click on Technology Handouts.
4. Click on SMARTBoard from the left tool bar
5. Click on the folder called Software & Drivers. ( Make note of the activation code. You might want to write it down somewhere.)
6. Click on the link for the SMART Technologies Download page.
7. Click on SMART download software for your operating system (Windows or Mac). Do not download trial software.
8. You do not need a key code so do not click on that link.
9. Click download under new customer. Download the entire software. (This may take awhile so you may want to set it up to download when you go to bed.)

No SmartBoard Necessary Part 1

Every instructional computer in your school has Smart Notebook software-the ultimate tool for engagement and interaction. Teachers and administrators may attend this workshop to learn what you can do to engage students with Smart notebook software using only a computer, a mouse, and a presenter. Participants will investigate the tools, gallery and Lesson Activity Toolkit for tools to create interactive activities to use with students. Lesson ideas will be shared from a variety of resources.

Prerequisite: No SmartBoard Necessary! Part 1

Now that you know about the tools in the Notebook software and how to create interactive lessons, you are ready to create your own lessons. Participants will create lessons, aligned to curriculum standards, to be used with their students with possible inclusion into the AACPS Tech Connections.
